Project Description
Participants may elect to enrol and study toward both licence classes as this is the preferred skill level required by Traffic Control companies and the industry, particularly for new entrant to the market.
Successful participants will receive two Statements of Completion and two Statements of Attainment for RIISS00044 Work Zone Traffic Control – Traffic Controller Skill Set and RIISS00041 Work Zone Traffic Control – Implement Traffic Control Guidance Plan Skill Set.
YOU WILL LEARN TO:
Stop/direct road users using a stop/slow bat
Understand Traffic Control Guidance Schemes (TCGs) also known as Traffic Control Plan (TCP) for the site
Understand legislation and Work Health and Safety applicable to you and your work colleagues
Communicate using various methods and devices
Carry out risk assessments
Identify safety implications of traffic control at road works and personal responsibilities
Set up and close down traffic control devices according to a nominated TCGS/TCP
Check, clean and store equipment on completion of work and close down a TCP

Price
- New entrants: $380 (no industry experience)
- Renewal: $300 (holders of competency cards issued after 1 July 2015)
- Refresher: $350 (holders of competency cards issued after 1 July 2015 who do not have industry experience in previous 12 months)
- There is an additional charge of $44 for the competency photo-card fee collected on behalf of RMS, this will be collected once you have been deemed competent for all training components. Any additional live assessment required on site, will be charged at $60 per visit.
Location and Times
Liverpool Office: Fortnightly on a Tuesday and Wednesday from 0900 to 1730.
Granville Office: Fortnightly on a Tuesday and Wednesday from 0900 to 1730.
- Please note Star Training does not have dedicated parking. It is suggested you take public transport for the day as we are only 2 minutes walk from the Granville train station. If you drive you will need to find a local paid parking solution.
